The lack of connection in the social environment between citizens, businesses, and institutions has become an increasingly evident challenge in contemporary society.
With the spread of sensitivity towards sustainability issues and the growing interest of organizations and Public Administration in social innovation, territorial development and enhancement initiatives are becoming more numerous. However, what we have found is that too often they are fragmented, isolated, and non-communicating. The various actors in the ecosystem of a given territory often design and launch initiatives that, lacking the phase of co-creation with the community and other actors in the ecosystem on which they will impact, end up being partially or not at all resolving a certain problem or need.
Following the logic and principles of the Coalescence Innovation paradigm, Seedble has designed HACKin, a format that, bringing together multiple actors from different sectors and fields at the same table, aims to lay the foundations for unlocking the potential of innovation in a territory through the cross-fertilization between players and the initiation of co-innovation projects.
HACKin was created as part of the Seedble 4Impact program as a solution to:
The event is structured as a laboratory workshop facilitated by members of the Seedble team according to design thinking methodologies and approaches. During the hackathon, innovation challenges revolving around some key themes for the enhancement of a territory – city, region, municipality, etc. – are discussed and explored: Cultural Heritage & Arts, Education & Social Responsibility, Connectivity & Mobility, Entrepreneurship & Open Innovation, Health & Sports, Food & Hospitality.
The output of the workshop consists of a portfolio that collects the challenges and possible actions that emerged during the event, a document that is then delivered to the representatives of the PA in the reference territory with the aim of encouraging them to consider future interventions.
An initiative dedicated to the development of social impact projects for organizations, communities, regions, and change-makers.
